Georgie James @ Fort Reno (8-13-07)

During Brandon Butler's set it was pretty apparent that the guy really just wants to be Dylan, which I feel is a noble aspiration.

Up at the end was Georgie James, who put on a highly dance-worthy set, and the high school kids in the front section did get their groove on. I was impressed with the songs from the new album (see previous posts) that I hadn't heard before, "Places" especially.
Georgie James - More Lights (live, acoustic)
John Davis (I think it was him and not Laura) introduced this song as about growing up in the DC area.
Georgie James - Cheap Champagne
Laura Burhenn said it was like they'd written the song (though maybe it was "Cake Parade"?) just for that day with Karl Rove's resignation and all.
