Junior Senior: Hey Hey My My Yo Yo

I got back to Harrisonburg yesterday to discover Junior Senior's new album (see previous post) had arrived in the mail while I was gone, and was super excited. The album is exactly what I hoped for, amazingly catchy and cutesy lyrics paired with great dance beats. Sometimes I'm reminded of 50's Rock & Roll or Doo-wop, sometimes it's early Beach Boys, sometimes it's 80's new wave, sometimes it's No Doubt (don't ask me why) - Junior Senior mixes its influences seemlessly in an almost twee pop sort of way. Whatever the case, I. love. this. album. Every song makes it worth the purchase.

If you don't love this album, then bite me.

Can I Get Get Get is probably my favorite song ever. Or, at least, it is my favorite song ever right now. Ever since I heard it in my friend's car about a week ago.

I second that. I can't stop hearing the damn song too.

Every beat, vocals and lyrics seem just perfect for me and can't stop singing and nodding my head. It must be the ultrafunky bass. No wait, the lyrics... it's got to be the lyrics! It's such a great great great song... Can't wait to see them live!!
