The Glorious Hum - Main Page

what kind of day?

Graduation was yesterday, and I was up till 5 am this morning with the after-party. After four years of wanting nothing more than to get out, I desperately want to stay. I have no idea how I'm going to deal with not seeing the people who've been my friends for the past 4, or 7, or 12, 0r 18 years every day, or at least frequently. It's crazy.

Oh graduation!
Weezer - Glorious Day
Kings of Convenience - Days I Had With You
Buddy Holly - That'll Be the Day
Carbon Leaf - On Any Given Day

And the rest:
Stereophonics - Have A Nice Day
Belle and Sebastian - Another Sunny Day
The Beatles - Good Day Sunshine
The Strokes - Someday
R.E.M. - Bad Day
The New Pornographers - Execution Day

And the link dump:
  • the best and yet, meanest, reviews of Summer releases - Sufjan Steven's The Avalanche, Thom Yorke's The Eraser, Keane's Under the Iron Sea, Sonic Youth's Rather Ripped, and Muse's Black Holes and Revelations...the condition for appreciation: you must have a sense of humor
  • Sufjan's picked his next state for an album...it had better be VA! Ohio would be cool too.
  • Going to the Pitchfork Music Festival? Not going? Who cares? There's 25 free downloads from bands playing at in on emusic.

I owe a big thank you to my Oberlin buddy Harris for some of the coding and for file-hosting (*hearts Harris*); you can hire him to build your website just because he's that awesome.

I don't know anything about music. In my line [of work] you don't have to.
