A friend showed me this video a few days ago - it's kind of hilarious and I'd never heard of Manu Chao before.
Maybe some more coffee or mate will do the trick?

I owe a big thank you to my Oberlin buddy Harris for some of the coding and for file-hosting (*hearts Harris*); you can hire him to build your website just because he's that awesome.
I don't know anything about music. In my line [of work] you don't have to.

Manu Chao has been one of the Latin world's biggest superstars for about a decade now; I say "Latin" because the guy's from France, and although he sings mostly in Spanish, he also does his thing in French, Portuguese and English. He had a band called "Mano Negra", that had a colossal hit with "Mala Vida", a track very well worth tracking down (and one you've probably heard but maybe don't identify), that also had a very entertaining video. "King Kong Five" was pretty cool, too. Manu was at Coachella this year. I'm not a big fan, but I do believe he's an interesting character, check out his wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manu_Chao
wow. thanks!
Manu Chao was originally from Spain, him, his father and mother, left france to escape Fransico Franco and his dictatorship, so him and his family moved to france, which is why he sings in spanish and french, hes not french hes spanish
oh and i meant to say escape Spain not France, typo
