Hello everyone, my name is Jason Lee and Kate has gone slightly insane and has given ME of all people permission to post on her site. We here all hope Kate has a swift recovery, but until her sanity comes back, I will be posting musing on music. For anybody interested, I go to Carleton College in Northfield, MN and I am heavily involved in KRLX Radio.Now onto my first post!
Mary Timony is so many things that I need to list them in...BULLET FORM!
*Mary got her start in DC with the all female band Autoclave on Dischord
*After moving to Boston joined the band Chupa which was later renamed Helium
*She put out 5 albums and made one movie cameo with that band. (The movie was All Over Me, she shared the stage with Murmurs front-woman Leisha Hailey)
*a good anagram of Mary Timony is Mayor Minty,
*She is referenced in the Death Cab for Cutie song "Your Bruise"
*She has been in a total of 5 bands, 2 of which have her name in it.
* She has recently released a new album called The Shapes We Make on Kill Rock Stars
