I don't really care all that much what he looks like either, I listen to Bright Eyes a lot. chill. john lennon was on heroine and married to yoko towards the end of his life/career, did that stop him from making brilliant music? no. would conor oberst look better if he cut his hair? yes. does it matter? not really.

rehab ruins artists - fact!

Personally, I think we'd all gain something by debating the lyrics as opposed to Conor's hair length. As for 'dandan's comment, yes, Conor seems to have changed after rehab, and you could say that he's lost his edge, but I'd rather say that he's gained a sophistication instead. I'm just glad he got the help he needed. (And yes, he did look better with short hair. But that's not the point.)

how about this: the guy gets other people to write his string arrangements. All he writes for his music is the three chords that the beautiful music somebody else wrote goes over. :/. John Lennon/Elliott Smith wouldn't do that. That's capitalizing on somebody else's talent. So the question is this: Does David Lee Roth look better in acid wash denim or spandex? That's a more historically appropriate comparison.
ugggh!! its way too mainstream of a look for him. for him. what happened to the old indie emo conor? i think it makes him look like an arrogant sell out. and i think hes starting to get fatter. its not all about what you look like but when your looks portray your music it makes it that much more believeable.
Conor is hot no matter what! His talent is what makes him attractive, its a plus about his looks :), regardless of his hair cut I would be with him no matter what. Hmmm he makes beautiful music..
