Modest Mouse "King Rat"

In anticipation of No One's First and You're Next EP (out yesterday), I've been re-listening to Good News For People Who Love Bad News obsessively, and so I was surprised to see this on my RSS feed:

According to Stereogum, Heath Ledger directed this music video before he died. Which explains why it's freakin' amazing! Proceeds from the video got to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

So far, so good. Modest Mouse has been lying somewhat dormant since 2007's We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, and this August they'll be releasing a collection of unreleased songs. No word about a new album yet. Stream the single at Spinner.

I owe a big thank you to my Oberlin buddy Harris for some of the coding and for file-hosting (*hearts Harris*); you can hire him to build your website just because he's that awesome.
