Lately I've been enjoying The Old Soul's self-titled debut album (released in April) thanks to the folks over at Friendly Fire Recordings, and recently looked at their website only to discover there's a new Old Soul album to be released October 2nd in Canada, possibly November in the U.S.?Genre-wise I have a hard time placing the Old Soul, who seem as willing to steal musical stylings from honky tonk as from Mariachi bands. The result is energetic, funny, and never cliched. Check them out.
